Michael G. Morris joined Newmark Knight Frank at the firm's Manhattan headquarters in 1998. He is highly experienced in working with multinational corporations, strategic planning, business continuity planning, merger and acquisition due diligence, cost reduction analysis and lease negotiations.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Morris assisted in global operations planning for Avaya, Aspen Technology, Nuance Communications and Comverse Technology. Mr. Morris has also concluded transactions on behalf of Merrill Lynch, Weight Watchers International, Aareal Bank, and Gruzen Samton Architects in their headquarter relocations and consolidations.
Michael Morris is a senior managing direction in Newmark Knight Frank's Global Corporate Services group. He has performed consolidation and relocation projects in over 40 countries including AspenTech's consolidations in Shanghai, the United Kingdom and India, and Nuance's consolidations in Montreal, Massachusetts, California, China, Hong Kong, The United Kingdom, Israel and Japan. He is familiar with facilities operations, co-located data centers, cross-cultural issues and globalization opportunities throughout the world.
In addition to real estate and operations consulting, Mr. Morris has substantial experience related to business continuity planning. He has aided numerous corporations in evaluating their mission critical and data center needs, current and future power requirements, site type on location selection process, and contract negotiations at selected collocation and data center facilities.
Mr. Morris has completed more than four million square feet of assignments encompassing all facets of real estate and operations from strategy development to lease negotiation.
Mr. Morris is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with focuses in business and philosophy from the State University College at Oneonta. Additionally, he holds an MBA in Finance from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, located in New York City.
