New York, NY (06/15/2010)
Newmark Knight Frank Retail announced that Lids has leased a portion of the retail space at 1501 Broadway between 43rd and 44th Streets in the heart of Times Square. The specialty hat shop took 1,340 square feet on the ground floor, joining Levi's, Bubba Gump Restaurant and Hard Rock Café.
"Rarely does an opportunity for small retail space come available in Times Square, and we had our pick of retailers vying for the space," commented Jeffrey D. Roseman, executive vice president at Newmark Knight Frank Retail, who represented the Landlord, Paramount LLC. "We are sure that Lids will thrive in this 24/7 location, and benefit greatly from the world-class exposure."
Lids, a division of Genesco Inc., was represented by Haim S. Chera and Stephanie L. Snyder of Crown Retail Services.
